J.D. Salinger said there's nothing more boring than a talking writer. But briefly I have worked both sides of the literary desk in Hollyweird(sic): earlier as a studio reader, story editor, and development executive. Now I am a full time film/TV writer. Produced writing credits include Dinoshark on the SyFy Channel and award winning one hour episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger and Dead Man's Gun.
Perhaps as a reaction to the craziness of "the business" I began to write fiction. If interested check out my published stories on the links provided. Some deal with my "doppelgänger" Jack Townsend. They fall into the more "literary" vein. Others are more "genre" and varied in subject.
I began as a "filmmaker" and there are also links to some of my ancient short films. One features Bryan Cranston in perhaps his first film role. Another was a major prizewinner at the Washington National Student Film Festival. Also included are links to network or cable shows/films I have written. More later, cheers....GP
